Trimming a Lamp (2003)
lamps, transparent paper. (on the three central windows)
trucks in the two side windows by Jean-Charles Paumier.

Pocket lamps are placed in the three central windows until their batteries are empty, causing the progressive extinction of the lights in the boxes. Some paper covers the windows, hiding the dispositive, to make the public focus on the light halo.

The trucks by Jean-Charles Paumier are an other way of working with light: the two symbols blink continuously, like a sort of heartbeat accompanying the disappearance of the lights in the central windows.
